Using documented evidence and eye-witness accounts of legendary beasts as inspiration, Freak Encounters brings unsuspecting people face to face with a monster. The question is: will they survive?

Each screamingly funny episode follows one unwitting participant who believes they are part of a routine investigation involving the world’s most unexplained creatures – bloodthirsty werewolves, vicious swamp monsters, terrifying giant spiders and angry alien hybrids to name a few. In fact, each episode is a meticulously planned set-up for which the innocent participant has been nominated by a friend or family member looking for payback! With the help of an ensemble cast of improv actors and carefully placed clues, the routine investigation escalates until the “mark” becomes trapped in a series of increasingly wild and scary moments, all building to a full-on monster encounter.
