Cast has been confirmed for the new Xavier Gens project The Divide (previously titled The Fallout), which has just started principal photography in Winnipeg.
Lauren German, Milo Ventimiglia, Michael Biehn, Rosanna Arquette, Ashton Holmes, Courtney B. Vance, Ivan Gonzalez, Michael Eklund and newcomer Abbey Thickson headline the cast on the film – the latest feature from the French filmmaker behind the $100-million dollar-grossing Hitman.
The Divide is scripted by Karl Mueller and Eron Sheean. The suspense-driven apocalyptic action thriller focuses on a small set of divisive individuals all vying for the primal chance to survive.
ContentFilm is handling sales.
Producers on the film are Ross M. Dinerstein of Parlay Media, Darryn Welch, of the Berlin-run Instinctive Film, locally-based Juliette Hagopian of Julijette, inc. and Winnipeg-born producer Nathaniel Rollo. The film was brought to Winnipeg by Carole Vivier and Louise O’Brien-Moran of Manitoba Film and Music.
Gens’ previous films include the horror-themed gore fest Frontier(s) (one of the most successful horror film from France in the past decade) and Fox’s Hitman.
