LONDON, July 8, 2006 – Fireworks International today announced a series of international sales for the 58th Primetime Emmy® Awards which will be broadcast live from Los Angeles on Sunday, August 27th, on the NBC Television Network.
Fireworks International has successfully represented the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in the international distribution of rights to the Primetime Emmy® Awards for the past four years and is pleased to announce further deals for this year’s 58th Primetime Emmy® Awards.
Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) has acquired the 58th Primetime Emmy® Awards for AXN Central Europe for the first time, in addition to renewing licenses for their AXN channels in Japan, AXN and SET channels in Spain and Portugal as well as for SET Latin America. Also on board for the first time are TV 4 Sweden, TV2 Norway, and Ary Digital Network for Pakistan. Additionally, current licensees NonStop Television AB for Star! in Scandinavia and TV3 Eire have renewed for a further three-year term and two-year term, respectively, beginning 2007.
Fireworks also welcomes back prior licensees Living TV in the UK, Canal Jimmy in Italy, Pro-Sieben in Germany, M-Net in South Africa, Hot Vision in Israel, Fiji Television, Mediacorp TV in Singapore, Vision Plus Entertainment for UBC in Thailand and Natseven TV in Malaysia, TV2 Denmark, MTV3 Finland, Alhurra in the Middle East, Dubai Media for the United Arab Emirates, Orion Cinema Network in Korea, and CNBC-E Turkey, ABS-CBN Broadcasting for Studio 23 in the Philippines, Studio 1+1 for Ukraine, and RTK for Kosovo.
