Fireworks International, the television and digital distribution arm of ContentFilm plc, has secured a host of deals for the upcoming 62nd Primetime Emmy® Awards, increasing the reach of the star-studded event, which attracts millions of viewers around the globe each year.
In 2010, the 62nd Primetime Emmy® Awards, which broadcasts live on the NBC Television Network in the US on Sunday August 29th, will air in more than 150 territories globally. A range of new deals and renewals for the three-hour show have been concluded with broadcasters including Orbit Showtime (Middle East), Turner Entertainment (Germany), RTE (Ireland), Sony Latin America (Latin America), TV3 (American Samoa), M-Net (Africa), Fiji TV (Fiji), Metropolis for True Vision (Thailand) and Non-Stop (Scandinavia, Benelux and Baltics).
This adds to a roster of ongoing agreements which will see the event continue to broadcast via AXN (Japan), TV2 (Denmark), SET (Spain and Portugal), HBO Ceska (Eastern Europe), Hot Vision (Israel), Orion Cinema Network (Korea), TV3 Media Prima (Malaysia), ABS-CBN (Philippines) and CNBC (Turkey).

Voted for by the members of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the Primetime Emmy® Awards are one of the television industry’s highest honors in national primetime and late night programming. Taking place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, the 62nd Primetime Emmy® Awards will be hosted by comedian, writer and talk show host Jimmy Fallon (NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”).
The event will see awards presented in 27 categories. Nominations for the awards will be announced Thursday July 8th. Produced by Don Mischer Productions, the 62nd Primetime Emmy® Awards is available as a three-hour ceremony plus two-hour pre-show.
