Heading into MipTV with two new exciting series – Whistler and The Jane Show – Fireworks International is also pleased to announce numerous new deals for some of its most popular signature series from licensees around the world. Fireworks has concluded a renewal of all television rights for all three seasons of Even Stevens with the BBC UK. This deal was completed by Fireworks Senior VP, Kathryn Rice. “Bafta-nominated Even Stevens has been a resounding success for us worldwide with sales to all major territories,” commented Rice. “We are delighted the BBC has confirmed its ongoing commitment to the series.” In addition to this deal, Fireworks is pleased to confirm that SKY Television has renewed Relic Hunter (66 x 1 hours), the popular action-adventure series for digital free and pay TV rights. New episodes of Black Hole High, the kids live action series produced by Brewster (BHH) Productions in association with Fireworks International and Discovery Kids, has been acquired by Disney for Asia, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand, and by JETIX EUROPE for its channels in the UK, Spain, Portugal, Scandinavia, Poland, Italy, the Netherlands and Israel. Other deals include Foxtel Australia’s renewal of Andromeda, Season 3 and Relic Hunter, Season 3 and Disney’s renewal of Even Stevens, Seasons 1 and 3 for their pan-regional Latin American channel.

EVEN STEVENS: 65 X 1 hours / Produced By: Brookwell McNamara Entertainment

Even Stevens follows the escapades of the loving sibling rivalry between Louis and Ren Stevens. Ren is the school’s living legend, a dedicated overachiever whose reputation casts a giant shadow. She embarks on each day as a challenge waiting to be conquered. This would be easy enough if it weren’t for the ill-timed, madcap antics of her younger brother Louis. He is the class clown whose good intentions innocently go wrong. Louis can’t imagine why Ren is always losing her composure when he’s around. Whether he’s swapping his sister for a trading card or vying for her spot in the school talent show, the pair always manages to work things out.

RELIC HUNTER: 66 X 1 hours / Produced by: Fireworks Entertainment and Gaumont Television

In this weekly one hour action-adventure series, unorthodox Professor of Ancient Civilizations, Sydney Fox moonlights as an impassioned explorer, crisscrossing the globe in relentless pursuit of an eclectic mix of lost icons. With the help of her decidedly non-adventurous teaching assistant, Nigel Bailey, and their student secretary, Karen, Sydney travels to the most remote corners of the earth, skirting danger and fighting off unscrupulous rivals to track history’s most fabled treasures.

BLACK HOLE HIGH: 42 X half hours / Produced by: Brewster (BHH) Productions

Black Hole High chronicles the strange capers of five teens in a secret after school science club. Together, they deal with everything from personal magnetism to their friends becoming invisible. The cast of characters includes Josie, a rebellious misfit with awesome analytical ability; Lucas, a conspiracy theorist extraordinaire; Vaughn, the most popular boy in school with a suspicious family past; Corrine, a driven over-achiever who, with Josie, proves that science is not just a boy’s game; and Marshall, a self-proclaimed geek and proud of it.
