YouTube sensation Bryony Matthewman wanted to make a zombie movie. She wanted to make it with zero budget, entirely from contributions from her global online fan base and launch it for Halloween. So she posted a video on her YouTube channel. Attracting more than a quarter of a million views in a week, the video became a hit and Bryony was inundated with offers from around the world.

This innovative cross-platform documentary covers the whole process. Consisting of a one-off special and a series of short-form “Zombisodes”, it is presented in comic, gothic B-movie style. Featuring an existing online personality whose videos have been watched more than 12 million times, it incorporates a wealth of video blog material, revealing the ingenuity of zero budget film-making and the internet’s ability to bring people together.
