ContentFilm was founded in 2001 by Edward Pressman and John Schmidt with the objective of producing a variety of quality commercial feature films ranging from budgets between $2 million to $25 million. While we continue to seek, promote and nurture new exciting talent, we are also producing a number of projects with established directors, writers and actors. With offices in Los Angeles, New York and London, we aim to work with both independent producers from across the world as well as partnering up with studios on their more ‘indie’ type projects.
Our recent producing credits include Wayne Kramer’s The Cooler starring William H. Macy, Maria Bello and Alex Baldwin, for which he was nominated for an Oscar in 2004 for Best Actor in Supporting Role; Acclaimed director David Gordon Green’s Undertow starring Josh Lucas, Jamie Bell and Dermot Mulroney; The King, a psychological thriller written by Milo Addica (Oscar nominated for Monster’s Ball), directed by James Marsh and starring Gael Garcia Bernal.
