Created in a strikingly beautiful painting style, PABLO, THE LITTLE RED FOX is one of the most spectacular, original and epic feature length animations of recent years. Adapted from the BAFTA award winning television show – Best International Children’s Programme – and sold to 59 territories worldwide including the Disney Channel in the US, this is the story of Pablo, a brave, adventurous young forest fox with a slight confidence problem! Living with his mother (Rose), father (Red Fox), brother (Pumpkin) and sister (Poppy), and with plenty of friends in the forest, such as Madam Owl and Gil the Gull (who’s actually a city seagull on a relaxing extended fishing vacation!), life couldn’t be sweeter. But Pablo’s life is turned upside down when bulldozers, diggers and chainsaws start to destroy their habitat – and injure his mother! Unable to help, Pablo is devastated to return to his father with the news that Rose has been taken away to the city by the humans. Leaving Madam Owl in charge of his kids, Red Fox tares off in search Rose. But within days the diggers are so close, Madam Owl and the little foxes have no choice but to escape, and off to the city they all go! Unfortunately Madam Owl has a minor accident on route (colliding with a tunnel while chasing a train!) and in no time the young foxes are in the big city with no mother or father to look after them, and no clue what to do. … But help is at hand from a wise old stray cat called Finbar, who protects the young foxes from snarling dogs, cars and humans (especially men from the dog pound!) – and the welcome return of slacker seagull Gil, who helps the foxes to find food. So the scene is set for a whole host of wonderful adventures, as Pablo and his brother and sister overcome all the odds to re-unite with their lost parents.
The breath-taking blend of old-fashioned innocence and contemporary technical excellence, makes PABLO, THE LITTLE RED FOX a must, for all ages of man and beast!
