CANNES — ContentFilm Intl. is handling worldwide sales on “Elephants,” a feature doc that will follow the annual journey of hundreds of pachyderms across the Kalahari Desert to reach the lush Okavango Delta in southern Africa.

Production will begin in the upcoming dry season. The film will focus on one elephant family, including an 8-week-old calf and her mother, the matriarch of the herd.

It will be shot by a trio of experienced wildlife cameramen — Richard Jones, Mike Holding and Martyn Colbeck — and produced by Madelaine Westwood and Richard Waterstone.

Content has already sold the project to Falcom in Germany, Euro TV in France, MGN in CIS and Baltics, Intersonic in Hungary and the Czech and Slovak republics, SWEN in Latin America, Gulf in the Mideast and A Film in Benelux.

Topper Jamie Carmichael said, “This is a personal mission for me. I have family involved in conservation in Kenya and across Africa, and I immediately knew that this story was something very special.”
