London 7th September 2007: Fireworks International, the television distribution arm of ContentFilm Plc, has today announced an agreement with Virgin Media Television to allow the platform to make the new vampire hit series, Blood Ties (22 x one-hour), available on catch up and video on demand through the Virgin Media Digital Television On Demand platform.

The crime thriller series will be available on a free catch up basis immediately after transmission on Virgin Media Television owned channel, LIVING. The catch up service will be available for 28 days through the On Demand section of Virgin Media Digital Television platform and for 7 days through the LIVING’s website allowing viewers the chance to catch up on any episode they may have missed at a time of their choosing. Following the first run of the series, Blood Ties will also be included in the video on demand package available on a pay per view basis or free to subscribers of selected packages to the Virgin Media Digital Television platform.

Blood Ties premiered on LIVING on August 16th and is airing every Thursday at 8pm.

Jonathan Ford, Vice President of Digital Distribution for Fireworks commented, “We realise that in today’s world viewers are looking for flexibility in how they can view and catch up on their favourite TV series, making sure that if they miss an episode they still have the opportunity to catch up with the storyline at their leisure, or indeed re-watch a favourite episode/ series at a later date. With this in mind we were keen to work with Virgin Media Television on giving this flexible access to Blood Ties.”

Steve Nam, Director of Rights, Virgin Media Television said “Blood Ties is performing extremely well on LIVING so we’re really pleased to be able to give fans of the show the opportunity to see it when and how they want to. Virgin Media Television is absolutely at the forefront of new technologies and committed to giving people increased flexibility in how they view our content.”
