Entertainment website Jaman.com has begun its international expansion plan by launching its first localised site in the UK.
Former executive vice president and managing director of MySpace and Fox Interactive Media David Fischer, is named managing director of Jaman’s UK and international operations.
Based in London, Fischer will be responsible for international business operations. The UK site is launching with more than 1000 titles, including those from suppliers such as BFI, Pathe Films, ContentFilms and Axiom Films.
Jaman also announced he addition of a number of new titles to its global collection, including films and series from Cinelan, Reality Entertainment and Mondo Mini. Globally, Jaman currently has more than 4,500 films in its catalogue.
“In a little over a year, our unique library of films has helped us grow into audiences across the globe,” Gaurav Dhillon, CEO and founder of Jaman, said. “With our new UK site and acquired content, we are not only able to continue to deliver high quality films, but are able to cater that content to specific audiences around the world.”
Jaman launched in 2007 with a library of independent and international titles.
