A few hours after the market kick off, Carmichael says: “The sensational performances from both Samantha and Mhairi have created a really scary and haunting film.”

The film has currently sold to Wildside in France, Spentzos in Greece, Monolith in Poland, Lusomundo in Portugal, Playarte in Brazil, Caribbean Film Services in The West Indies, Media Pro in Romania.

Morton plays Martha, an emotionally fragile mother, who moves to a remote Irish village with her husband Tomas (Steven Mackintosh) following the tragic death of their baby daughter. Whilst there, the couple decide to take in a disturbed and orphaned autistic girl called Daisy (stunning performance from newcomer Mhari Anderson). Uncommunicative and greatly scarred by the violent death of her parents, Daisy gradually warms to her new surroundings. But, as a series of strange occurrences begin to be linked to the little girl, Martha and Tomas begin to hear rumours from the locals that Daisy might be something far more malevolent than she seems.

The Film is a UK/Irish co-production, produced by Subotica Entertainment’s Tristan Orpen Lynch and Dominic Wright.

ContentFilm International is co-financing the film alongside the Irish Film Board, The Wales Creative IP Fund, The Limelight Fund and The Broadcast Commission of Ireland.
