New York, NY, April 11, 2007 Cherry Lane Music Publishing Company, Inc., whose film production company clients include the Weinstein Company, DreamWorks Pictures and DreamWorks Animation SKG, Lakeshore Entertainment and Walden Media, has signed an exclusive, multi-year, worldwide administration agreement with ContentFilm, a London based film and television sales company. ContentFilm owns or controls a significant library of film assets including critically acclaimed features The Cooler, Rules of Engagement and Thank You for Smoking, and well as over 2,000 hours of quality television programming including Andromeda, Mutant X and Relic Hunter. It recently acquired Allumination, a fast growing US DVD distribution operation. In announcing the agreement, Mike Connelly, Executive VP of Business Development at Cherry Lane, noted, “Our new agreement with ContentFilm underscores the solid relationship Cherry Lane maintains with the film community, unique among music publishers. ContentFilm International is the film sales and finance arm of Content. Allumination FilmWorks is Content’s DVD distribution arm in the U.S. Allumination acquires domestic home entertainment rights from studios and independent producers and distributes DVDs of its licensed content to retailers throughout the U.S. Additionally, it acquires satellite and cable television rights as well as international theatrical and home entertainment rights and sells those rights on to other domestic and international distributors. It also distributes audio product under the American Beat Records label. Allumination has a portfolio of approximately 700 quality titles in all major categories including various music specials and children’s/family feature titles and its titles include ‘The Saddle Club’ and ‘How William Shatner Changed the World’.
