London, 07th April 2008 – Fireworks International, the television distribution arm of ContentFilm plc, today announced a number of key appointments in an expansion of its sales operations based in Toronto and London.

Joining the Toronto based office, Fireworks International has recruited two Sales Directors responsible for worldwide sales of the Factual Entertainment catalogue. Smiljka Baljozovic and Kathryn Kozanczyn join from CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) International, where they were responsible for worldwide sales of the company’s catalogue of documentary programming, TV movies, drama and comedy series, children’s and animated series and entertainment specials.

Beginning her career in the film export business in Belgrade, Baljozovic moved to Canada and managed sales for children’s feature films at La Fete in Montreal. She also worked as International Sales Executive at TV Ontario and Summerhill Entertainment, before joining CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) in International Sales. Baljozovic joins as part of the company’s new Factual Entertainment sales team.

Kozanczyn was formerly a Sales and Marketing Executive with Portfolio Entertainment. At Fireworks International Kozanczyn will, together with Baljozovic, be responsible for the Factual Entertainment catalogue.

The London-based Digital Division is also bolstered by the appointment of Patrick O’Connor-Read as Digital Sales Manager, responsible for the development of digital distribution for ContentFilm and Fireworks International across IP, VOD and mobile platforms, with a particular focus on Asia Pacific. His background includes an entrepreneurial role at Martial Arts TV and the position of Gallery Producer at sit-up.tv.
