ContentFilm International has acquired international sales rights to THE DETAILS starring James McAvoy.
Written and Directed by Jacob Estes (Mean Creek), THE DETAILS stars James McAvoy (The last King of Scotland, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Wanted, Atonement), Elizabeth Banks (The 40 Year Old Virgin, Spiderman I, II & III, Fred Claus, W, Role Models) and Laura Linney (Mystic River, Love Actually, Breach, The Savages). More cast will be announced shortly. THE DETAILS begins when a family of hungry raccoons discover that there are worms aplenty living underneath the sod in Jeff (James McAvoy) and Nealy’s (Elizabeth Banks) backyard. A disagreement as to how to solve their pest problem begins a wild and absurd chain reaction of domestic tension, infidelity, organ donation and murder by way of bow and arrow….
The film is set to go in production in the summer ’09. New York-based Ergo Films is financing the picture.
The film is being produced by Mark Gordon (Saving Private Ryan, 10,000 BC), Bryan Zuriff (The Messenger) and Hagai Shaham (Mean Creek).
The crew includes director of photography Sharone Meir (Mean Creek, Coach Carter, The Last House on the Left), production designer Toby Corbett (Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, The Cooler) and editor Madeleine Gavin (Mean Creek). ContentFilm will be selling the film at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.
