Honouring the finest in cinematic achievement, the annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards is one of Hollywood’s premiere events, attracting a glittering array of glamorous attendees and proving a must-see occasion for movie lovers everywhere.

Making its debut to international audiences in 2011, the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards plays host to a wealth of world-renowned acting and creative talent, with Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, George Clooney, Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, Clint Eastwood, Will Smith, Jack Nicholson, Johnny Depp, Charlize Theron, Steven Spielberg, Kate Winslet, Nicole Kidman and Martin Scorsese among previous red-carpet attendees.

Nominees are announced in December ahead of the prestigious ceremony which airs in January on VH1 in the US and sees the esteemed accolades awarded in over 25 categories. Awards range from Best Picture and Best Ensemble Cast to Best Actor and Best Song. Special awards are also presented yearly at the discretion of the BFCA Board of Directors.

Presented early in the awards season, the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards are voted for by the 250 members of the Broadcast Film Critics Association, the largest film critics’ organization in the United States and Canada. Representing television, radio and online critics, BFCA members watch hundreds of movies each year, reporting back to millions of moviegoers each week. Since 1995, this avid movie watching and critiquing has culminated in the annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.

Throughout the year, BFCA members help audiences find the best movies, and the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards is a fantastic annual celebration of achievement in film, providing essential, star-studded entertainment for movie fans around the world.
