Spike & Mike's Sick & Twisted Festival of Animation started over 25 years ago when two entrepreneurial creatives decided to move from promoting Rock concerts into the world of cutting edge cartoons. The content covers all forms of animation and creative styles and ranges from quirky hand drawn gems to elaborate computer generated productions. They are in your face, loud, brash, funky, fun, edgy, irreverent and alternative. This travelling festival has helped give viewers their first glimpses of the work of leading talents who have gone on to revitalize the mainstream animation field including Nick Parker and Peter Lord of Aardman (Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run), John Lasseter (Toy Story, Monsters Inc) and Mike Judge (Beavis & Butthead).
